The Planetary Garden. Cultivating Coexistence

Manifesta 12 explores coexistence in a world moved by invisible networks, transnational private interests, algorithmic intelligence and ever-increasing inequalities through the unique lens of Palermo: a crossroads of three continents in the heart of the Mediterranean.

The Planetary Garden. Cultivating Coexistence hosts three main sections, each touching on key topics of the concept - Garden of Fows, Out of Control Room ad City on Stage.

Manifesta 12 is curated by an interdisciplinary group of Creative Mediators composed of Bregtje van del Haak, renowed Dutch journalist and filmmaker; Andrés Jaque, spanish architect, founder of the Office for Political Innovation and professor at the  Columbia University; Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli, a Sicilian-born architect and partner at OMA/AMO and Miriam Varadinis, a Swiss contemporary art curator at Kunsthaus Zurich.
